A curated collection of handmade fiber art
This unique fiber art will bring dimension and texture to your space. These art pieces are just like mini hand-woven rugs, but they’re wrapped around 4x4in wooden canvases for easy wall hanging. Made from yarn and string, this art adds softness and coziness to any space. And it is so cute! It beautifully compliments other art in your home, and my favorite thing about it is that it is definitely unlike anything else you own, which makes it special.
Garland Collections is all about making your home environment inspiring on a day to day basis, and I am enthralled with Kayli’s fiber art pieces because that’s exactly what they do for me. I had never heard of fiber art before I saw her work, and I became immediately intrigued and inspired by what she’s creating. It’s been so special to curate this collection and work with her on it.
When I say that this art is unlike anything else you own, I mean it, and it’s in the best way. It draws you in and makes you think, wonder, feel, and imagine. Just like the best art always does.
So, to state the obvious, I am so excited to be working with Kayli Balin from studio kb! Curious about how she became a fiber artist? Learn more Kayli’s story on the About the Artist page. She shares all sorts of things about how she gets inspiration and how she became an artist.
Making art an inviting and essential part of your home has been a dream of mine ever since starting Garland Collections. I’m thrilled to be working with Kayli – we met when we lived down the hall from each other at Wellesley College. It’s so special to be able to work with a friend on the first curated Art Collection for Garland Collections.
Something that I value so much about this collection and Kayli’s art is that it is inviting and interesting. These pieces are a conversation starter. And with my goal of making art more accessible and more fun, the idea that art can start a conversation and be a point of connection in your own home is at the crux of what I do. I believe that these pieces speak to that vision.
Now, let’s get into the designs in this collection! Each one was carefully crafted and curated, and I love them all on their own and all of them together. I hope that you do too.
