If you need some small kitchen inspiration to make your space both functional and beautiful, you came to the right place. There’s no shortage of small kitchen ideas on Pinterest, so that’s where I turned to pull beautiful photos from to help give you the spark that you need to dream big with a small space.
I’m really excited for these beautiful small kitchens! Lately I’ve felt like there’s so much pressure to have the biggest and newest everything, but the truth is that there is so much charm and beauty in something cozy, small, and lived in.
Let’s do a deep dive into small kitchen inspiration together โ these are photos from Pinterest that will get your gears turning on how to make even the tiniest kitchen feel beautiful and luxurious.
This post is all about small kitchen inspiration. We’re going to talk all things about beautiful small kitchens, tiny kitchen ideas, very small kitchen design, small kitchen ideas on a budget, Pinterest small kitchen ideas, and small apartment kitchen inspiration.
1. Cozy and traditional
This bench-like couch makes this little nook so inviting and cozy. Having a small round table like this is a really smart solution for a small kitchen because it creates a place to gather and eat without taking up too much precious space.
Lighting that’s hanging from the ceiling also helps reduce space that a lamp would take up, and it provides visual interest that takes your eye up, which helps make the space feel bigger.

2. Warm and white
It’s not easy to evoke a feeling of warmth with a mostly white kitchen, but this small kitchen does it beautifully. Another small round table does the trick with providing a place to sit and eat.
The greenery adds a lot to this kitchen as well. I love how the flowers bring life and feeling to the room. Warm wood tones balance beautifully with the warm and creamy white paint color in this small kitchen.
3. Mid-century and bohemian
The light fixture acts as a centerpiece in this space and pairs very well with the modern table and more retro chairs. I love how the chairs have an open back because they take up less visual space that way.
The gallery wall also makes this room feel bigger because of the size of the frames. Playing with some large frames and smaller ones provides interesting contrast.
4. Simple and elegant
This is one of those tiny kitchen ideas that is effortlessly elegant. The fold out table with the arched backs of the chairs create beauty in simplicity.
I also love the framed art leaning against the back of the counter by the stove. A small fold out table like this is a great idea if you like to have guests over, because then you can accommodate a larger group sometimes without having to sacrifice kitchen mobility all of the time.
5. Funky and retro
Hello green chairs!!! These funky chairs are so much fun. Bringing color into your space won’t necessarily make it bigger, but it will make it cheerful and playful (which is so easy to love).
I love the way that this kitchen uses vertical space and embraces an imperfect, even slightly messy approach. No one’s kitchen is perfectly clean all of the time, and having a bright blue teapot that you leave out or a beautiful bar cart you love makes that mess feel purposeful and fun.
6. Minimal and classic
This minimal design makes this space feel very clean โ it kind of has the opposite approach from the last kitchen, but it still works! It’s all a matter of preference.
You can tell that this table is another version of a fold out table, and the mismatched chairs give the space a more casual and relaxed feel. I love the greenery and the wall art in this kitchen, too! They give it some life and a necessary touch of imperfection.
7. Charming and inviting
The open shelves in this kitchen are a place where they added some personality in a uniform way because it’s all white. I like how this kitchen is pretty conservative with its color palette bit isn’t shy to have decor and art on display โ that balance creates contrast and it’s done really well.
This wall art is really unique, too. The pair of art pieces work well together because they’re really different but they have the same color palette. Again! Using different shapes and styles creates a mix and match look, but having a uniform color palette brings it all back together. So smart.
8. Bohemian and bright
The warm brown tones and the blues and pinks all work together to make this kitchen area feel bright and inviting. Using a variety of textures and textiles helps make this kitchen interesting visually. It also makes it feel very homey.
If you love this style, I highly recommend checking out Anthropologie’s home section and the Urban Outfitters home section because they both have a lot of pretty bohemian inspired decor items.
9. Timeless and comfortable
This might be my favorite and it’s all because of the bookcase. Having a built-in bookcase is such a luxury โ you definitely can recreate this look without having it be a built-in, though. The combination of the bookcase and the bench creates such a cozy little nook to eat in.
Creating a nook like this definitely would take some planning out, especially if you don’t have a built-in bookcase or bench. But you could recreate this look with the right pieces to put in their place! Like, finding a bookcase that fits well in the space and a bench or small couch that fits in as well. Especially if you could then paint one or both of those pieces in the same color, it would look quite similar.
10. Modern and girly
The light pink throughout this color palette gives this small dining area a girly vibe, and it’s really cute. I love these tulip tables because they have beautiful lines and can look good in a lot of different spaces.
Putting a rug under your table is a great way to add some texture and color (just make sure it’s not too hard to clean in case anyone spills!). This gallery wall also looks so good!
11. Clean and thoughtful
Another tulip table stealing the show. These round tables are so cute and easy to integrate into your space. I love the mix and match dining chairs and the built-in bench.
And the art on the walls!!! Hello. It looks so good. Don’t be afraid to hang up multiple pieces of big artwork on your walls (even in your kitchen!). It creates such a thoughtful and beautiful look.
12. Stylish and homey
These chairs do a lot for this space โ it’s because there’s such a great balance between modern and midcentury elements that gives this kitchen area a very stylish feel.
Mixing different styles is a great way to create a glamorous yet lived-in feel. It’s ok to stick to just one design style if that’s your preference, but most people like more than one anyway, and it can be fun to play with multiple. This dining area for your kitchen would make even a small space feel so charming and homey.
13. Modern and warm
Warm wood can do so much for a space! I love how this more monochrome style came together to create a chic and modern space that still feels warm and inviting.
Choose your colors for your kitchen based on what makes you feel good โ it’s you who’s going to be spending the most time in there, so it’s important that you love how the space makes you feel.
14. Crafty and fun
This is one of the easiest and most effective DIYs ever: paint your table a new color! This little green table is so cute and the chipping paint actually makes it look even better because it gives it an aged, vintage feel. And you don’t need that much pain to do this, either.
The wallpaper and wall art go with the table so well, and that’s part of why it blends into this little dining nook so perfectly. Especially since the green wall art has some of the same green in it as the table.
15. Beautiful and green
The plants in this space do so much. Without them, the room is mostly neutral. And then the added natural greenery brightens the whole space and gives this small kitchen so much life.
Also, having a long, narrow, oval table is a really smart way to conserve space. It looks gorgeous with the candles and the fruit bowl and the flowers, too.
If you weren’t sure if you could make a small kitchen beautiful, I bet you’re a believer now! I definitely am. There’s something so charming about these spaces and I love the creativity and intentionality that goes into making a small space your own.
