These trendy rugs are sooo cute. When I see something I really like on Instagram or Pinterest, I instantly want to know more. This list of 12 trendy rugs is a deep dive on what’s trendy right now, where to shop, and how to include a rug in your home in a way that is uniquely YOU.
The price range of these rugs starts as low as $29 and goes up to $1,600. A lot of these rugs come in different sizes, so of course the smaller sizes come at a less expensive price. And some of the more expensive rugs come in very large sizes, which is where the $1,600 price point comes from.
With rugs, it’s really helpful to know the dimensions that you would like and go from there. I definitely understand grappling with the price and the size, though. I’ve bought smaller rugs because I love the way that they look and I’ve also sacrificed style to get a larger size. Do what works best for you! Often it really depends on the space you’re working with.

Also, this rug comes in so many different colors so don’t be afraid to get a little bit more playful with your color choice. I like this black and white one too because then you have lots of freedom to layer in more color with other furniture and decor.
Styling tip: This rug was born to pair with natural greenery. Bring in some plants to whatever room it’s in and your coziness will rise exponentially.

Brace yourself, because we’re about to do a deep dive into checkerboard rugs! If that’s not your thing, skip ahead to number 7 because we’re gonna be here for a while. Checkerboard rugs have been EVERYWHERE lately.
This one comes in 7 different colors. And I actually like all of them! Which doesn’t always happen when there are that many color ways. The checkerboard trend isn’t going anywhere, and it’s something that can flow into many different design styles. If you love this but aren’t sure if “you can pull it off” I’m here to assure you that you can!
Styling tip: Pair this rug with round and curved decor and furniture to contrast with the angular checkers.

Styling tip: This is a perfect rug to experiment with pattern on pattern. Since its pattern is so subtle, it will pair beautifully with a patterned accent chair, wallpaper, or curtains.

If your space needs color, this is for you. It’s a perfect jumping off point for a room because you can pick out other colors for things based on colors in the rug (one of my favorite ways to decorate).
Styling tip: Don’t be afraid to add even more color in to the room with this rug, but be generous with the neutrals and soft and cozy textures like wool and mohair as well.

This is that groovy, trippy, 70’s checkerboard design. It comes in pastel green and pink, and it is perfect if you’re smitten with this pattern or just want to pack a playful punch into your space.
Styling tip: This makes a room fun! Style it with other playful decor that brings out your inner child.

This rug has summer picnic vibes in the absolute best way. The pink and yellow are cheery and lovey, and it has a gingham effect (sort of similar to the checkerboard, but a little more unique!).

OK OK OK ๐ the large sizes of this rug are amazing. I have the 2×3 right here in my office and I loveee it. The quality is amazing โ it is so plush under your feet. When I first brought it into my office I was amazed how much it uplifted my entire space. It’s just a good rug, guys. A good, good rug.
Styling tip: This rug goes with everything. It will hold up with so many different design styles, so be yourself and embrace experimentation!

Styling tip: Bring in color and warmth to add contrast and make this rug feel like home. The graphic stripe pattern and the black and white design need softness to contrast it.
These trendy rugs are beautiful and unique. As much as it can be intimidating to spend money on something that’s trendy (for fear it will go out of style) if you love one of these rugs I really encourage you to go for it! These were picked to stand the test of time. Plus, your personal style and enjoyment is way more important than any trend.
