Woven hanging wall art makes any place feel like a home. It has this warmth and amazing coziness to it – imagine art in blanket form. I didn’t think such a thing was possible until I started to learn more about fiber art, and woven wall hangings are such a beautiful form of fiber art and textiles.
You’ll grow to have such a deep appreciation for this kind of art the more you learn about it. I know I have. And there’s still so much to learn.
Also, you’ll have to excuse me if I seem a little corny or happy go lucky on this particular post – for one, I love fiber art, and for two, it’s almost 70 degrees in Boston in the midst of February and I am feeling serotonin rush through my body 😆.
I know that this is probably not a good sign (the weather changes, not the serotonin 😂) in the grand scheme of things, because with the snow storm that’s impending in a few days there couldn’t be a truer indication of climate change. But despite my better inclinations, I am ENJOYING this sunshine and warmth as if it’s a vacation. Ok, not really, because I’m literally working right now, but you know what I mean.
These woven hanging wall art pieces deserve all of the praise, though. They’re beautiful and are such an underrated form of wall art that will change an entire space for the better. They’re so dynamic, and they pair wonderfully with other wall art, too. And I spent a little extra time on these picks, just for you! 😉
These woven hanging wall art picks make for gorgeous wall art in your bedroom, kitchen, living room, or even your laundry room! No room is excluded. Art is welcome in all spaces here 😊. If you’re looking for a unique gift for a friend, these are great for that as well.
This post is all about woven hanging wall art! These picks are from two of my favorite places to shop for wall art – the iconic Jungalow by Justina Blakeney and of course, Etsy. Major shoutout to all of these Etsy sellers. Definitely browse some of their stores for more gorgeous pieces if something catches your eye.
1. Hand Knotted Wall Hanging from Jungalow
This woven wall hanging from Jungalow is so gorgeous. Its multicolored pattern is eye catching and pairs so well with the nubby, fluffy texture of the piece. This would easily brighten and warm up a room with its color and texture.
Something else that makes pieces like this great is that they’re so easy to hang up! All you have to do is peg in a tiny nail for it to hang from, and you don’t have to worry about making it level because you can adjust it with ease. I love when things are easy, and hanging up wall art can sometimes be a bit of a process, so these are GREAT.
2. Peach Dash Wall Hanging from Jungalow
I love how this is a little bit more neutral but still brings in a touch of peachy orange to add some personality and texture to your space. You might be starting to get what I mean when I say that these make a house feel like a home.
They have this warm quality to them, and they invite you in, making you want to touch and feel those soft little strands. And you can touch it! It’s art that invites touch rather than shaming it away.
3. Coral Sunset Raffia Wall Hanging from Jungalow
If there’s one color that beats them all, it’s coral. And you’ll probably catch me saying that about turquoise or purple a few days from now, but I’m such a LOVER of color and I have no shame.
This raffia wall hanging is really interesting and includes these semicircle shapes that are a little different than what you often will see with woven wall decor. I adore how unique this piece is and how summery and sunshine-y it feels. ☀️
4. Clouds Woven Wall Hanging
Next we have this beautiful little cloud piece. This one is so soothing and feels really special. Clouds have been really trendy for all ages recently, but this would look really cute in a childhood bedroom or a nursery. But don’t make fun of me if you catch me putting one like this on my own walls, too!
5. Handmade Woven Wall Hanging with Boho Mushroom Embroidery
Whether you like it or not, mushrooms have been everywhere lately. They’re super trendy right now, and I’ll be honest – I have literally no idea why. But I think they’re cute! So I’m here to accept mushrooms in their full glory.
This little boho design is so cute and has all of the earth tones that everyone seems to be loving lately. Hey, I’m not too cool to love a good trend. I’m here to enjoy it. And this cute fiber art piece is the perfect way to do that if you ask me.
6. Custom Macrame Rope Rainbow Wall Hanging
Okay, the somewhat cutesy vibes continue with this, but hear me out. This rainbow is so cute. Wow, I really need to think of a word other than cute to use. But it is cute. So we’re saying cute. Okay?
You can pick out custom colors to get a rainbow like this that’s uniquely yours. I love customizable things like this! It makes it so fun. This is another thing that would be so good in a childhood bedroom or nursery, but I won’t judge if you want it for yourself.
7. Black/White Bohemian Geometric Macrame Woven Wall Hanging Tapestry (Morocco)
This is a slightly more mature design, and it has this gorgeous black and white geometric pattern that juxtaposes the soft texture of the rest of the piece. It’s really stunning.
If some of the other ideas were a little cutesy for your taste, this is for you. It even is a little bit masculine, which is something I love about it. This piece is so interesting to look at.
8. Mustard Yellow, Blush, Gray, Terra Cotta Hand Woven Wall Hanging Macraweave, Macrame Wall Decor, Fiber Art Geometric Wall Art
This piece of art is different from the rest. It’s woven wall art in done in a totally new way. I’ve actually never seen something like this before, and I think it is so cool.
This two tone design from the same Etsy seller is really pretty as well! I love her work. Fiber artists always keep me on my toes because there’s always a new way to make fiber art even more unique and interesting.
9. Woven Wall Hanging | neon pink + yellow + cream | cloud style
There’s something so contemporary and modern about this particular woven wall hanging. The big puff of pink yarn and the touch of neon is absolutely stunning on this. It looks so good!
Something a little smaller like this is perfect for a small slice of wall in your room or home office where you need a little touch of color and fun.
